It is an action philosophy, Korean art of self-defense. Literally translated, it means foot and hand art. However, it is much more than kicking and punching. How Long Does It Take To Learn To Defend Yourself?
It depends on an individual's effort. The average person can feel improvement physically and mentally within four months. It takes approximately three years to earn a black belt. Some people may need more or less time depending on how hard they train. By this time they should have enough self confidence and ability to defend themselves.
Is Tae Kwon Do Hard Training
No! In Tae Kwon Do training, each individual is only expected to do as much as they can do. It is up to the individual how hard they want to train, from that he/she experiences the self discipline within themselves. Men, women, and children, old and young can find it possible to study Tae Kwon Do and what it has to offer.
